Guy-Charles has over 15 years of experience in biotechnology.
Prior to joining Neovacs, Guy-Charles was Vice-President,
member of the Executive Committee and General Manager,
Europe for IDM. He led the European operations, a fully integrated
unit from Basic Research to Business Development with 70 employees.
Before that, Guy-Charles spent 8 years with Biogen, where
he founded the French and Benelux commercial operations, moved
to the USA to become National Director of Sales ($675m) and
where his last position was Vice-President of Strategic Commercial
Operations, responsible for the Regulatory, Medical and Marketing
Operations for the International Unit. From 1990 to 1995,
Guy-Charles worked at Schering-Plough in various positions
including International Product Manager for Intron A (a recombinant
interferon a) based in the US and Cytokine Business Unit Manager
in France. In 1989, Guy-Charles gained sales experience at
Baxter after having started his career in the industry at
Boehringer Ingelheim within the Animal Health department.
Guy-Charles holds a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from
the Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire de Lyon (France) and an MBA
from INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France).

Bernard leads the Pharmaceutical Development
activities at Neovacs. He brings more than 30 years of industrial
experience in biologics pharmaceutical development. Bernard
was previously Senior Vice President, Pharmaceutical Development,
of Flamel Technologies. Prior to Flamel, Bernard was Corporate
Vice President, Global Industrialization, at Sanofi Pasteur.
Bernard holds a degree in biological chemistry from the University
of Lyon, France.

Pierre is responsible for Neovacs' clinical development programs. He brings more than 20 years of experience in clinical development, including 18 in the field of immunotherapy and prophylactic vaccines. Prior to Neovacs, Pierre was Director of Clinical Research and Early Development at GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals, in charge of the clinical evaluation of early phase projects, new formulations and adjuvants.
Pierre has been involved in the development of many major vaccines including pediatric combinations, Hepatitis A and B, Herpes Simplex, HIV, tuberculosis, Chlamydia trachomatis and adult Streptococcus pneumoniae vaccines. In addition he has extensive experience with immunotherapies, including those targeting Hepatitis B and C, HPV, HSV and HIV. Prior to GSK Biologicals, Pierre was at ICI Pharmaceuticals from 1987 to 1990, working on cardiovascular products. Pierre holds a Medical Doctorate from the Universities of Namur and Louvain-Brussels, a Postgraduate Diploma in Tropical Medicine from the Institute of Tropical Medicine of Antwerp and a PhD in Biomedical Medicine from the University of Ghent.

Olivier is in charge of pharmaceutical development (CMC) and Quality Assurance/ GMP compliance.
CMC activities include management of the lab process and analytical development activities as well as the interface with contract manufacturing or test organizations for technology transfer,
development and GMP manufacturing of clinical batches. Olivier is also one of the project leaders for the overall development of Neovacs’ product candidates.
Olivier has 9 years of experience in immune therapy development and cell-based vaccine manufacturing.
He previously held positions at Anosys - a US/French cell therapy biotech company – and research activities for 7 years at Gustave Roussy Institute (molecular biology and genomics) and Pasteur Institute where he was a post-doctorate fellow in molecular pharmacology.
He had previously spent 4 years as a resident in several hospital departments (pediatrics, pharmacology and biochemistry).
Olivier holds a Degree in Pharmacy (Paris XI University, France) and a PhD in Virology (Pierre et Marie Curie University, France).

Géraldine is in charge of R&D and has 12 years of pharmaceutical development experience in the US. She previously worked at Sanofi-Pasteur USA in bacterial vaccine development. Prior to entering industry she worked at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research on Dengue vaccine development and in Seattle University studying HIV-dendritic cells interactions. Géraldine holds a Degree in Pharmacy from Angers University (France) and did her PhD in Immunology with Dr Jacques Banchereau at Schering-Plough Lyon (France). She has authored several scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Piers joined Neovacs in September 2009 to lead the company's business development efforts. He has over 15 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, having previously served both as a senior executive in a public biotechnology company and as a consultant to clients in the private and public sector. Previously, he was the Vice President of Corporate and Business Development of VaxGen Inc., a public biotechnology company where he was responsible for many aspects of VaxGen’s commercial development. He also served on the Board of Directors of Celltrion, Inc., a biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing company established by VaxGen and South Korean investors. Piers was formerly a Vice President of Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman), where he headed that firm’s San Francisco office. There he led marketing, strategy and manufacturing projects, with an emphasis on the life sciences.

Michel Finance graduated from EM Lyon, and is a qualified accountant.
Previously, Michel was CEO of Carmat SAS from 2008 to 2009. He began his career as an auditor with Price Waterhouse Coopers. Over the last 25 years, he has held a variety of senior positions in financial and general management in the bio-pharmaceutical industry. He was CFO of Sanofi Pasteur from 1995-1999, an SVP within the Aventis Group from 2000 to 2004 and Deputy CEO of Flamel Technologies from 2005 to 2008. Since 2006, Michel has also served as a Director of France Biotech, the trade association for French entrepreneurs in the life sciences.
